CIG is a community-governed organization; the mechanism for that governance is through two elected committees, the Science Steering Committee and the Executive Committee. These groups advise CIG on our operations and activities, making sure we balance the diverse needs of the geodynamics community.
Elections for these positions are now underway! CIG’s nomination committee has come up with a great slate of candidates, and each member institution has a voting representative who has received instructions. We encourage everyone to read candidate’s statements and contact your member representative to vote. Elections close on November 30, 2016 and results will be announced at the Fall Business meeting.
Here at HQ, we’re grateful to all the participants, including the Nominating Committee, all of the candidates willing to stand for election, and everyone who participates by voting.
